[Review] Guibine Korean Restaurant, Paris
I was in Paris for the weekend, and I met up with a couple of friends. We were unsure what to have for dinner and we finally decided on Asian food.
We went to “Rue Sainte Anne”, as the area over there is known to have many Asian restaurants we could pick from. After passing by several restaurants that seemed highly uninteresting, we came across Guibine.
From the outside, you wouldn’t notice how big the restaurant actually is. After taking a closer look we noticed that it was packed with people. We did a quick Google check, to find out that it has over 2000 reviews with a rating of 4.5, so we just had to try it!
Address: 44 Rue Sainte-Anne, 75002 Paris, France
Cuisine: Korean
Price range: around 25 euros per person
Personal rating: 9/10
Guibine in Korean means “VIP Client”. This restaurant tries to make you live the Korean VIP experience.
To enter, you have to press a button for the door to open and someone to come to greet you and take you to your table. I would recommend reserving because otherwise, you might have to wait to find a place. We were lucky because we arrived not too long after they started their dinner service.
After that, the service becomes a little slow, as we had to wait a while for a waiter to notice us and take our order. But, that’s the only negative comment about this place, hence the 9/10.
What we ordered:
- CrΓͺpe au Kimchi: Kimchi omelette
- Bibimbap en pierrade (BΕuf): Bibimbap in stone bowl (beef)
- BΕuf au barbecue corΓ©en avec calamars et champignons: Korean beef bbq with mushrooms and squid
- Mochis thΓ© vert et sΓ©same noir: Green tea and black sesame mochis
- Makkoli: Korean Rice-based alcohol
